Must-Have Mini CAL - Peach
The peach is my ultimate favorite – both in my fruit bowl and in this CAL. It’s the design with which we’ll kick off the Must-Have Mini CAL.
Soft and juicy, full of flavor and it comes in a gorgeous shade. Add some extra va-va-voom to your peach by adding a good amount of blush! Make these tasty fruits as a whole, but definitely also a few slices.
Did you already check out which colors came with your Mini CAL kit? You might be able to guess the next fruity design.
For now, have fun making your peach! Share your peach on your social media channels, using the hashtags #MustHaveMiniCAL and #yarnandcolors and show us you’re partying along with us!
Love, Manon

Fasten off with a sl st and cut the yarn, leaving a 12” tail.
Baste the yarn through the loops (6) of the last round and pull tight.
Pull the yarn downwards through the peach through the middle of these 6 stitches. Pull the yarn through the middle of the mr. Leave the yarn on the outside and insert again (top down) through the peach.
Pull the yarn to create the characteristic line on the peach. Tie a firm knot with the cast on tail and weave in all ends.
Apply some blush to the peach if desired to give it a ‘ripened’ look.
Stem
Make a mr using 006 and sc 4 in the mr.
Sc 1 in every sc (4).
Fasten off with a sl st and cut the yarn.
Baste the yarn through the loops (4) of the last round and pull tight.
Leaf Ch 14 using 082.
Work around the foundation chain in the front loops.
Sl st 1 2x in 2nd ch from hook, sc 1 2x, hdc 1 5x, sc 1 2x, sl st 1 2 x.
Work along the other side of the foundation chain,
Sl st 1 2 x, sc 1 2x, hdc 1 5x, sc 1 2x, sl st 1 2x and join with a sl st on top of the ch.
Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail to attach the leaf to the peach later.
Attach the stem and the leaf on top of the peach (at the beginning, so at round 1). Fasten with a tiny stitch and a knot. Weave the ends in.
Peach slice
Make a mr using 043 and sc 6 in the mr.
Work round 1 - 4 as described for the full peach and switch to color 042.
Work round 5
Round 6: sl st blo 2, sc-blo 2, hdc-blo 1, dc-blo 8, hdc-blo 1, sc-blo 2, sl st blo 4, sc-blo 2, hdc-blo 1, dc-blo 8, hdc-blo 1, sc-blo 2, sl st blo 2, fasten off and cut the yarn, leaving a long tail to close the slice.
Fold the slice in half with the wrong sides facing each other. Fold precisely in the middle of the 4 sl st blo on either side.
Close the slice and stuff lightly for the neatest result.
Apply some blush to the peach slice if desired to give it a ‘ripened’ look.
You can use up colors 042 Peach and 043 Pearl, we won’t be needing those later on in the CAL. We will be using 006 Taupe and 082 Grass a few more times. Make sure you have enough yarn left in those colors.
